On November 1, 2025, the 3rd Seminar on "Human-Machine Integration Management in the Algorithm Era" was successfully convened at the Haidian Campus of Beijing Normal University (BNU). , The seminar, hosted by BNUBS, was co-organized by Beijing Institute of Technology, Renmin University of China, Central University of Finance and Economics, Tianjin University, and University of International Business and Economics. With the theme of "AI Empowerment and Value Co-creation in the Algorithm Era", it attracted over 500 experts, scholars, young researchers, and industry practitioners from 161 institutions nationwide to explore the future path of human-machine collaboration. The opening ceremony was chaired by Associate Professor Xu Zhixing, Director of the Department of Human Resource Management at BNUBS.

Seminar Venue

At the outset, Associate Dean Jiang Jie of BNUBS delivered the opening speech. She extended a warm welcome to all participants and noted that amid the rapid development of artificial intelligence, human-machine integration has become a core issue in organizational management and talent development. She expressed expectations that the seminar would promote theoretical innovation and practical integration, contributing wisdom to the construction of a new management paradigm in the intelligent era.

Associate Dean Jiang Jie - Leadership Speech

The plenary forum was hosted by Associate Professor Ju Dong from BNUBS. Distinguished scholars delivered keynote speeches successively, including Professor Hu Jia from Tsinghua SEM, Professor Jiao Hao from BNUBS, Professor Chen Zhijun from Fudan School of Management, Professor Wei Xin from Renmin University's School of Labor and Human Resources, and Associate Professor Xu Minya from Peking University Guanghua School of Management. Professor Hu Jia elaborated on a new leadership model balancing algorithmic efficiency and human warmth from the perspective of "dual care in the intelligent era". Professor Jiao Hao systematically discussed how AI agents drive enterprise management transformation and strategic restructuring, proposing a new logic for competitive advantage in the intelligent economy era. Professor Chen Zhijun revealed AI's impact on the occupational structure at the "task" level through detailed data, pointing out directions for individual skill development and organizational empowerment. Based on long-term field research on the platform economy, Professor Wei Xin vividly demonstrated the evolutionary process of algorithmic management and human managers from "substitution" to "collaboration", emphasizing the key role of humanistic supplements in management practice. Associate Professor Xu Minya focused on the "double-edged sword" effect of AI on employees' psychology and behavior, uncovering its complex mechanisms influencing work redesign, professional behavior, and team belonging.


The Management Practice Forum in the afternoon was chaired by Associate Professor Li Ran from BNUBS. Associate Professor Li Jing from BNUBS delivered an opening address, followed by insights from industry leaders including Zhou Weiwei (Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President of Innovative Business at Maimai), Liu Ting (former HR Manager at Huawei/Google), Du Hui (Vice President of Chengdu College of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China), and Qi Dian (General Manager of Human Resources at a large education group). They shared perspectives on cutting-edge topics such as "the paradigm revolution of AI reshaping organizations and talents", "talent strategies for human-machine collaboration", and "adolescent development in the AI era". The subsequent roundtable discussion, featuring scholars like Professor Li Quan from Nankai University's School of Finance and Associate Professor Yang Mengxi from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences' School of Economics and Management, along with industry guests, elevated the on-site academic exchange to a climax. At the closing ceremony, Tao Jihua, Director of the Editorial Department of East China Economic Management, introduced the construction of the "Algorithmic Management" special column, followed by the award ceremony for outstanding papers. The seminar concluded with a closing speech by Associate Professor Xu Zhixing, the initiator, and the screening of a farewell video.

Parallel PhD Forums were held simultaneously across four venues with enthusiastic discussions. The first venue was chaired by Associate Professor Gao Ang from Beijing Institute of Technology's School of Management, with commentators including Lecturer Wang Yating from Renmin University's School of Labor and Human Resources and Lecturer Ji Xiaode from Central University of Finance and Economics' School of Business. The second venue was hosted by Professor Pan Jingzhou from Tianjin University's School of Management and Economics, with comments from Special Associate Researcher Wang Ying (Beijing Institute of Technology), Lecturer Zhao Tong (Renmin University), and Associate Professor Guo Li (University of International Business and Economics). The third venue was chaired by Associate Professor Luo Nanfeng (Renmin University), with commentators including Assistant Professor Liu Qinglin (University of International Business and Economics), Lecturer Zhang Xiyang (Tianjin University), and Associate Professor Ju Dong (BNU). The fourth venue was hosted by Associate Professor Zhang Hongyu (Central University of Finance and Economics), with comments from Lecturer Shi Jian (Renmin University) and Lecturer Cai Zijun (BNU).

Following rigorous selection and careful preparation, PhD students from BNU, Renmin University, Tianjin University, Central University of Finance and Economics, University of International Business and Economics, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Minzu University of China, Capital University of Economics and Business, and other institutions presented their research findings on frontier topics such as algorithmic management, human-machine collaboration, employee behavior, and organizational innovation. Commentators offered constructive suggestions, and interactions between participants sparked new research inspirations through the exchange and collision of ideas.

As the third consecutive seminar on "Human-Machine Integration Management in the Algorithm Era" hosted by BNU, it has evolved into a prominent academic and practical exchange platform in this field in China. Through the diversified design of plenary forum, management practice forum, and PhD forums, the seminar achieved in-depth dialogue between academia and industry, as well as effective integration of theoretical exploration and management practice. It laid a solid foundation for advancing in-depth research and innovative development of human-machine integration management. The event received academic support from units including Workers' Daily, East China Economic Management, and Economic Science Press, and was sponsored by HSBC Bank.
