On September 22, 2025, a delegation led by Paulo Goes, Dean of the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University (USA), visited BNUBS. Qi Yudong, Dean of the School, met with the guests. Hu Conghui, Associate Dean of the School; Yang Dan,Associate Director of the Audit Office and Director of the MPAcc Program; and Shang Yihong, Program Supervisor of the International Office, also participated in the meeting.

Dean Qi Yudong extended a warm welcome to Dean Paulo Goes for his visit and briefly introduced the School’s development history, disciplinary advantages, and internationalization strategy. He pointed out that the School has achieved remarkable results in talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services in recent years, with distinctive features particularly in fields such as digital economy, financial technology, and accounting. Dean Qi emphasized that the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University is a world-renowned business school, and the two institutions have a solid foundation for cooperation. In the future, they can further deepen collaboration in student exchange, joint research, and faculty mutual visits, to jointly serve national development strategies and global sustainable development goals.

Dean Paulo Goes expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the School and gave a detailed introduction to the educational philosophy, disciplinary layout, and international achievements of the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. He stated that the Freeman School of Business attaches great importance to cooperation with China, and BNUBS is one of its most important partners in China. The purpose of this visit is to promote deeper and broader cooperation between the two sides based on existing collaborations, especially to make breakthroughs in undergraduate and postgraduate exchange programs, master’s priority admission programs, and Sino-foreign cooperative education initiatives.

Dean Qi Yudong noted that the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University enjoys a high reputation in business education, with outstanding strengths particularly in energy finance and quantitative finance. This cooperation will provide a broader international development platform for the School’s students and create valuable opportunities for faculty from both institutions to engage in joint research.

Dean Paulo Goes commented that he was deeply impressed by Beijing Normal University’s profound humanistic heritage and the rapid internationalization progress of the BNUBS. He expressed the expectation to establish a long-term and stable cooperative relationship with Beijing Normal University, to jointly cultivate business talents with a global perspective.

This visit marks an important step in the international cooperation between the two schools and opens a new chapter for deepening cooperation and exchanges in the future.
